Eid Al Adha Cards and Presentation

Eid Al Adha is one of the most important celebrations in the Islamic calendar. It’s a time for sacrifice, reflection, and gratitude—and for many children, it’s also a time filled with family, food, and festive fun. At Primary Ilm, we’ve created a set of Eid Al Adha cards and a detailed presentation to help Quran and Islamic studies teachers, as well as Muslim homeschoolers, teach the significance of this special day in a fun and engaging way.

Whether you’re introducing young learners to the story behind Eid or deepening their understanding of Islamic values, these printable resources are perfect for your classroom or home.

What’s Included in the Eid Al Adha Resource Pack?

Our Eid Al Adha pack includes two key resources:

1. Printable Eid Al Adha Cards

  • Fun, colourful and easy to print
  • Great for Eid activities, classroom displays, or sending as greeting cards
  • Help children feel involved in the celebration and learn through creativity

2. Eid Al Adha Presentation

The presentation is packed with information and includes:

  • What is Eid Al Adha and when is it celebrated?
  • The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Ismail (AS)
  • Ismail’s incredible response to Allah’s command
  • The sacrifice and the meaning behind it
  • How Hajj and Eid Al Adha are connected
  • What is Qurbani and its purpose?
  • The Sunnahs of Eid
  • Why Eid Al Adha is such an important day for Muslims

This resource helps children understand not just the “what” but the “why” behind Eid Al Adha, making the celebration more meaningful and spiritually enriching.

Why Use Eid Al Adha Cards in the Classroom or at Home?

Cards are more than just a creative task—they’re a way for children to connect with what they’re learning. Our Eid Al Adha cards encourage expression, understanding, and joy. They can be used for:

  • Art projects during Eid-themed lessons
  • Personal messages to family and friends
  • Classroom displays or bulletin boards
  • Memory keepsakes for students

They’re also a lovely way to reinforce key Islamic teachings in a soft and joyful way.

Tips for Teaching Children About Eid Al Adha

1. Start with the Story

Begin with the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS). Highlight their obedience and trust in Allah, and ask students how they might show faith in their own lives.

2. Use the Presentation Slides

Break down the concepts in the presentation over a few lessons or use them to lead a group discussion. Encourage students to ask questions and reflect.

3. Make it Creative

Let students colour, decorate, and personalise the Eid cards. Younger children especially love this part—and it makes learning hands-on and fun.

4. Link It to Real Life

Discuss how your students or children celebrate Eid. What traditions do they follow? What does Qurbani mean to their family? How can they embody the values of sacrifice and gratitude?
