Dua for Waking up

Start your day the right way with this blessed dua. It really sets the tone (and your mindset) for the day ahead.

الحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Translation: Praise is for Allah Who gave us life after causing us to die and to Him we shall return. (Bukhari and Muslim)

Dua before entering bathroom

اللَّهُـمَّ إِنِّي أَعُـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنَ الْخُـبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Translation: Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from male and female shayateen.

(Bukhari and Muslim)

Exiting Bathroom Dua

غُفْرَانَكَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الْأَذٰى وَعَافَانِي

Translation: I seek your forgiveness (Allah) All Praise be to Allah, who removed me from discomfort and gave me ease (relief).

Translation: In the name of Allah‎

Dua after eating

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Translation: All praise is for Allah, who fed us and gave us drink and made us muslims.

Before putting on clothes

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Translation: All praise is due to Allah who has clothed me with this garment and given it to me without any effort or power.

(Abu Dawud)

Leaving the house dua

In an age of so much Fitnah, both inside and outside the house, this one’s a must!

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّٰهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ

Translation: In the name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah; there is no might and no power except by Allah.

(Abu Dawud)

Transport dua

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ 

Translation: Glory be to the one who has placed this (transport) at our service and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our Lord we will surely return.

(Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi)

Dua for entering the house

بِسْـمِ اللّهِ وَلَجْنـَا وَبِسْـمِ اللّهِ خَـرَجْنـَا وَعَلَـى رَبِّنـَا تَوَكّلْـنَا

Translation: In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

(Abu Dawud)

Before sleeping Dua

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Translation: In Your Name O Allah I die and I live.

(Muslim)
